BakkenFree: All time

Bakken, literally translates to “Hill”, is a oldest amusement park in the world. It is located north of Copenhagen city center in the lush woodlands of Jægersborg Deer Park. The story of the amusement park dates back to 1583 when supposedly discovered a magic spring in the area. Words spreaded of the water’s healing power and people flocked the woods especially during Midsummer Eve when the healing power was considered most powerful. With more and more people visiting, merchants and entertainers started appearing too. Eventually, the whole scene evolved to what is today the Bakken Amusement Park. Entrance to Bakken is free. Even if you’re too broke to pay for the rides or the arcades, it’s also fun to enjoy the lively atmosphere. Bakken itself has a lot of unpolished charm. You’ll also be able to get a glimpse of out of the oldest wooden roller coasters in the world, which was built in 1932. Furthermore, the Jægersborg Deer Park in which the amusement park is located in has some 2000 free-range deers. While in Klampenborg, consider also visiting the Bellevue Beach nearby.
