PechaKucha Cape TownFree: Every second Tuesday of every second month

Looking for some creative and inspiring event in Cape Town? Join a PechaKucha session! Originally started by Tokyo-based architects, the event which gets its name from the Japanese word for “chit-chat” has blossomed to over 700 cities around the world. The original aim of PechaKucha was to create a space for young designers to meet, network and showcase their work. Today, the talks appeal to speakers and attendees from all walks of life. During the half-time interval break, audience members are encouraged to ask the speakers questions or further discuss the topics. This clever networking concept gives people from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to be exposed to new ideas, and after the presentations, visitors can mingle and interact with people they might not have met otherwise. And best of all, PechaKucha is gratis!
