New York Public LibraryFree: All time

The New York Public Library technically refers to the entire 87 branches of this library system in New York City (which are all free). However, for tourist, The New York Public Library that probably matters is the main branch in Manhattan. It is the flagship building and a prominent historic landmark of NYC. The library is most famous for its Rose Main Reading Room. On both sides of its wall, along the floor level and the balcony, open shelves lined the entire room. With its massive windows and grand chandeliers, this reading room looks majestic and will appeal to readers and non-readers alike.
