In 1937, the body of Pamela Werner – the daughter of a former British consul – was found on the street of Beijing. Her throat was slit and she’s missing multiple organs. The investigation of the murder was suspended after Japanese invaded. It wasn’t until journalist Paul French published a carefully researched book about the murder mystery that the crime was solved. A free downloadable map and audio walking tour retrace the major scenes featured in the story. Starting off at the Beijing Railway Station, the walk brings you through alleyways, revealing forgotten facts of the old Peking.
