Baedari BreweryFree: All time

Baedari Brewery is not exactly located in Seoul. It’s in Goyang City, north of Seoul but it can be easily accessed within 20 minutes of public transport. Even though the brewery has been brewing Korean wines (makgeolli, jukyoju, and soju) since 1915, the museum itself only opened in 2004. In it, you’ll find exhibits on items and models describing the different processes of making these rice wine. However, nothing is in English and unfortunately, no, no free sampling is given as well. Why the visit then, you ask? Well, it could be a nice half-day trip to enjoy some history then have traditional Korean food (12,000 won) and locally-brewed makgeolli (3,000 – 6,000 won) in the brewery’s restaurant.
