Votsalakia BeachFree: All time

As its name suggested, Votsalakia, meaning “small pebbles” in Greek, has a pebbled coastline. It is a popular beach due to its close vicinity to Athens – only 10km south of the city center. Votsalakia gets crowded as soon as the summer period begins. The sea is almost always calm and the beach is well protected from most of the winds. Cafeterias and restaurants are abundant in the neighborhood. It is an ideal getaway if you’re tight on time in Athens and still want to enjoy the sea.
