San Cristobal Interpretation CenterFree: All time

At the San Cristobal Interpretation Center, learn about the geological and natural history of the Galapagos islands, as well as the efforts to protect its uniqueness. The Interpretation Center serves as an education center for park personnels and tourists alike. The main three exhibits are of the Natural History, the Human History and the Conservation and Development. Admission is free. Behind the center are winding paths that lead to different interesting spots on the island. One goes to Playa Punta Carola (35 minutes walk) which is a favourite for surfers. Another to Playa Mann (Mann Beach) – for the swimmers. Last but not least, to Cerro Tijeretas (Frigate Bird Hill) – a nesting place for frigate birds, for the naturalists.
