When you wander around Victoria & Albert Waterfront in Cape Town, you will likely bump into four larger-than-life bronze statues in Nobel Square. These are the four South African Nobel Peace winners: Nelson Mandela, Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu, the former president of African National Congress Albert Luthuli and the last president of the old South Africa FW de Klerk. Also in the square is the Peace and Democracy sculpture – a work commemorating the contribution of women and children to the attainment of peace is South Africa.
