Nan Hua Buddhist TempleFree: All time

The magnificent Nan Hua Temple was donated by the Taiwanese Buddhists when Taiwan had close ties with South Africa and is the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere. It is located in Bronkhorstspruit (about 45 min drive to the northeast of Johannesburg). The temple site takes up almost an entire suburb, so much so that you’d think you’ve commuted to China. The sheer size of the front gates, buildings and steps to the temple are astounding and on special days, the grounds are festively decorated.
