La BoqueriaFree: All time

“La Boqueria”, the Boqueria Market, dates back to 1217 when tables were installed near the old city gate to sell meat. Today, it’s a food market selling anything from fruit, vegetable, seafood, meat, cheese to sweets. Visitors are instantly struck with an explosion of colours, smell and liveliness as soon as they enter the market. The produce is seemingly endless. With the food stalls opening during lunchtime, La Boqueria is the perfect place to try local food. Even if you’re not there for the food, the market makes a good place for photo op.
