Brooklyn Brewery TourFree: Tour on the hour from 1-5PM Saturday; 1-4PM Sunday

The brewery started in 1987 when the founder Steve Hindy returned from the Middle East with a newly acquired skill of brewing beer. For the designers out there, Brooklyn Brewery logo and identity is created by Milton Glaser, best known as the creator of the logo for “I Love New York.” While the tour offered on weekends are free, you’d need to purchase beer token ($5 each or 5 for $20) to actually try the beer. The tours themselves last about half an hour each, in which their very friendly and lively guide will introduce you to the history of the brewery, more so than the step-by-step process of beer brewing. Arrive early since there’s always a long line. No reservation required or accepted.
